The discipline. The Gradient Law’s census carried a measurement without hypothesis: at offsets 11 and 17 — and at no other deep offset — the backward-heavy share nearly vanishes (negs 13 and 4 of 768 against a plateau norm of ~42–69), STABLE across all three disjoint territories, the tie share correspondingly swollen. The post-hoc mechanism reading, marked as such: the vanishing class is exactly the dominant φ²-rung of the D lattice (the frozen band |D| ∈ [1.387, 1.390]; the archived mass at 1.388/1.389 — 85.4% of plateau negs, 3 of 17 comb negs), and the only quantity identical across every segment at a given offset is THE BACKWARD WALK’S OWN ABSOLUTE DEPTH. His word opened the door: this instrument registers the comb on fresh ground. TWO ARMS per wave: ARM A (256 fresh L=32 segments — the archived comb’s own geometry) and ARM B (128 fresh L=64 segments — the first L=64 census ever taken: if the comb rides absolute depth it must appear at THE SAME offsets 11/17, tested against the archived-calibrated deep ground 9..31 only; the proportional images 22/34 are weighed by the PAIRED per-segment sign knife — offsets 32..63 are new deep ground, carried as measurement, NEVER a verdict cell). THE GROUND: past the programme’s deepest cell (10,968,079) to the final cell 20,409,871; pooled classes 768 (arm A) and 384 (arm B) per offset. FULLY DETERMINISTIC — NO RNG ANYWHERE: a run is pure computation, exactly reproducible from its registration alone (the sibling’s replica landed ZERO differences in every wave). THE KNIVES (pooled at wave 3; waves 1–2 RECORDED; every verdict an exact rational vs the rational α 0.01): HP2 THE COMB RECURS and HP3 THE CLASS SELECTIVITY (small-count rule frozen: scores only at ≥8 pooled comb negs) and HP4 THE DEPTH LAW as one-sided exact Fishers — exact under their stated pooled exchangeability nulls, the block-null worst cases computed and disclosed in the registration — and HP5 THE SCALE QUESTION as the PAIRED per-segment sign knife (ghost minus comb negs per L=64 segment; exact binomial(1/2); valid under ANY within-segment structure). ALL LANDED EITHER WAY; a refuted knife says only that its own landing did not land — moved vs vanished is the census’s report, never an inference. The fail-safe: if a run’s response times out in the browser, the run continues on the server under its claim file — re-read the ladder rather than re-running. BEFORE ANY LOOK: no computation on fresh ground exists before registration; ALL THREE REGISTRATIONS BEFORE THE FIRST RUN is the protocol of record. The ladder — registrations, runs, and verdicts
One rung per WAVE (two arms each: 256 fresh L32 + 128 fresh L64
segments; the census only — no draws; minutes per wave). Wave 3 pools all
under the frozen knives and refuses until waves 1 and 2 stand. The acts
are the operator’s; the engine refuses out-of-order acts.
